Even when you want to learn about or do something for the ocean and the environment, the entrance is surprisingly hard to find.
Accurate information is hard
Accurate, up-to-date information about the ocean and environment is mostly in English research papers — hard to decipher without expertise.
Learning doesn't last
Environmental topics are often all about "crisis" and can be exhausting. There aren't enough fun, sustainable ways to keep learning.
No entrance to action
Event information like beach cleanups is scattered everywhere — even if you want to join, you can't find them.
That's why the Earth Project set out to connect knowing, playing, and acting into one.

An article media that introduces what's happening on Earth — oceans, climate change, biodiversity, food loss — based on the latest research papers, in plain language with illustrations. Updated daily in Japanese, English, and Chinese.

A learning game where you clear quizzes and learn through play
Marine life, environmental issues, and connections to daily life. As you take on quizzes with commentary from Dr. Turtle, knowledge builds up naturally. Questions are automatically generated from research-paper learning data, with source links for reliability.

Learn systematically by level and aim for certified titles
From the beginner level "Become friends with the ocean" to the advanced "Face the challenges facing the ocean," learn about the ocean and the environment systematically. Your achievements will take shape as titles through the BlueHub Certification (in development).

Find ocean and nature events and take a real-world step
Beach cleanups, nature observation tours, environmental seminars. We collect ocean, nature, and environmental events across Japan every day, searchable by region, date, and keyword. It's the gateway that turns what you've learned into real action.

Earth Volunteer
A local platform connecting volunteer groups with local government for cleanup activities
Helping local governments, waste collectors, and volunteer groups coordinate smoothly on activities like beach cleanups. Participants take a manners quiz on local rules before joining, report activities with photos afterward, and can receive a volunteer certificate — all in one flow. Starting in Okinawa Prefecture.

We sit down with people who love, enjoy, and contribute to the Earth — the "Earth Heroes" recognized by the Earth Project — and create collaboration videos on their own social channels, bringing the Earth Project to people who haven't discovered it yet.
Spark curiosity at Earth Lab
Earth Lab publishes expert articles on a wide range of themes — oceans, forests, wildlife, climate change. People who think "I want to know more" naturally find their way to the Earth Project.
Grow the community through Earth Broadcast
Earth Broadcast shares everyday discoveries and activities in an easy-to-follow way on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. Viewers gradually become part of the Earth community.

Ahead of the full launch, we'll give an early look at the Earth Project's world and its six Earth services.
Earth Project launch | Earth Heroes column begins
All six Earth services officially launch. The "Earth Heroes" column, spotlighting people acting for the Earth, also begins on Earth Lab.
"Earth Vola" — a system connecting volunteer groups and local government — launches
"Earth Vola," connecting volunteer groups with local governments and waste collectors, officially launches — starting in Okinawa Prefecture.
Earth Vola goal: 10 partner municipalities, 20 volunteer groups
We aim to expand partnerships across Okinawa, reaching 10 partner municipalities and 20 registered volunteer groups by year-end.
Earth Crew goal: 100 paid members, 1,000 free members
By growing participation from all six Earth services, we aim to reach 1,000 free Earth Crew members and 100 paid members by year-end.
SDGs trading card "Hakoku Sosei" Vol. 1 goes on sale
The first volume of the SDGs trading card series, collectible and purchasable with Earth Point, launches — a card series you can collect, learn from, and enjoy.
"Beach Clean" game launches on Roblox
A "Beach Clean" game playable on Roblox launches — in-game activity connects to Earth Point, offering a new playful entry point to learning.
